Hands On Greater Buffalo, WNY AmeriCorps, and the Home Depot invaded (a friendly invasion, of course) the Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School for a full day of service! With the help of the students, faculty, and community members, we successfully built two outdoor classrooms and a school store, renovated the teachers lounge, and painted murals both inside and out. The enthusiasm and hard work of the students and volunteers was truly amazing! Three more projects at the school will take place before the end of the year. Information on the next project, happening in September, will be available soon. We hope to see everyone back for the second round!
